Mr. Syvoplyas is responsible for the company’s overall management with particular focus on investment banking transactions.
Mr. Syvoplyas is one of the most experienced investment bankers in Ukraine. Previously, he was Head of the Ukrainian Business for the Sputnik Group, and Head of Investment Banking for Credit Suisse First Boston (Ukraine).

His investment banking and private equity experience includes execution of such transactions, among others, as USD2.7 bln Eurobond restructuring of the Government of Ukraine, USD400 mln Eurobond issue of the Government of Ukraine, privatization of 6 power utilities with total transaction value of USD296 mln, arrangement of over USD500 mln of debt financing for leading Ukrainian corporations, sale of financial derivative products to CIS clients, launch of Renaissance Life insurance company in Ukraine, and the acquisition, restructuring and subsequent sale of Russian publishing house Afisha.

Mr. Syvoplyas has 11 years of experience in investment banking and private equity in Ukraine. While leading CSFB investment banking activities in Ukraine, Mr. Syvoplyas won Euromoney’s 2001 Award for Excellence as “Best M&A House in Ukraine”.

Serhiy Syvoplyas obtained his BA degree in economics and political science from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukraine, and MSc in international banking and finance from the University of Southampton, UK. During his studies he was awarded the George Soros Foundation and the UK Foreign Office Chevening scholarships
